Will Airtabs stick to the EPDM (rubber) roofs on RVs?

Yes. We have over 1000 Installations on EPDM roofs. If the roof has any wrinkle, ripple or other surface irregularities, you should ask for our "Kemlite" Airtab.  This is a regular white Airtab with a 1/32" foam tape that will make better contact with an uneven (rippled) area and improve the bond.

If the surface is flat, the thinner tape of a regular Airtab will work fine.

If the roof is badly deteriorated and "crumbly", we suggest you augment the adhesive tape with a clear silicone sealant.

The adhesive tape on the regular Airtab has an acrylic base.  Start with a thorough cleaning of the application area with soap and water.  Finish with a Varsol or paint thinner solvent to remove any oil based residue.  Rubbing alcohol will also work.

Note: Do not use Windex to clean the surface.  Make sure any glass cleaner like Windex or windshield washer fluid is totally removed.

Please call 1-800-475-2155 if you have any into a problems.
